Landon Raster and Ian Crilly did not come from the boardroom. Landon earned his C-10 license on job sites. Ian started sweeping floors right out of high school and worked his way through an apprenticeship to journeyman.
In 2023, they founded RCH Renewables with one goal: give San Diego homeowners and businesses installations done right, by people who know the work firsthand. Their first client was a national grocery chain's solar service portfolio. No national franchise. No call center. Just a team you can reach.

How long does a solar installation take?
Most residential solar installs take one to two days on site. The longer part is permitting, which we handle for you. From signed contract to permission to operate, most jobs are completed within four to eight weeks depending on your city and utility.
Do I need a panel upgrade to get solar or an EV charger?
Not always. We assess your existing panel as part of every quote. Many EV charger installs use load management so no upgrade is needed. Solar rarely requires a panel upgrade unless your panel is older than 25 years or already near capacity.
What brands do you install?
For solar, we work with Enphase, SolarEdge, and other top-tier inverters and panels. For batteries, we install Tesla Powerwall 3 and FranklinWH. For EV chargers, we install Tesla Wall Connector, Wallbox, and all major brands. We are certified by each manufacturer, not just approved to sell their products.
Do you service existing systems you did not install?
Yes. We do solar maintenance, panel cleaning, inverter replacement, and troubleshooting on all major brands, whether we installed it or not. If a previous contractor left your job unfinished, we can step in and complete it.
