About Ian
Ian Crilly is the residential manager and co-founder of RCH Renewables. He started in the trades at 18, working his way from general contracting and plumbing into electrical work before earning his journeyman license in Oklahoma and Washington. He relocated to San Diego and co-founded RCH in August 2023 after watching homeowners in North County repeatedly get burned by solar companies that oversold and underdelivered.
Ian manages every residential project from the first phone call through final inspection. When you submit a quote request on this site, Ian is the person who responds. He is also the crew lead on every residential installation, not a subcontractor.
On the Tesla side, Ian was part of the Powershare pioneer installer cohort and has completed V2H (vehicle-to-home) installs that most contractors in San Diego cannot yet offer. He holds Tesla certifications for Powerwall, Wall Connector, Gateways, and Powershare, covering the full residential Tesla ecosystem.
Outside of work, Ian is on the water when San Diego cooperates.
